Easy Snack Ideas For Women In Agriculture

Doing it anyways: That “nutritionist” or “nutrition coach” you hired, doesn’t know shit about your metabolism. And probably doesn’t know much scaled up next to a dietitian, anyway. I’m hearing more and more often that these coaches are recommending calorie caps at meals, recommending low doses of protein, and just some altogether WEIRD stuff. & for the love of God, can we stop eating out of the “portion containers?” 😫

If you take nothing away but this: Restriction… depriving your body of food… it does work. For a bit. And then after that, your metabolism goes into protectant mode, you plateau, and you end up working with me anyway, to rehab it. Sound right? Stop trusting unprofessional people with your HOME. Yes, your HOME - the one place you will live every day for your whole life. Take good care of it & let good, qualified people help you if you choose. I love taking new clients, sure, but it hurts my heart when we’re simultaneously healing metabolism AND relationships with food because someone who wasn’t qualified ruined that for you.

Okay, okay, anyway; here are some examples of snacks my people have. We’re constantly working to pair protein and carbohydrates together & make sure we’re getting SOMETHING in within every 4 hours. Why? Women do REALLY well with a high ratio of protein. Your body has a hard time turning protein into fat mass. Pairing it with carbs is going to give you long-lasting energy over time without those big energy highs and lows. Make sense? There’s nothing off-limits. We just work through what would be a good, better, best choice PLUS, what you like and what you have access to.
